I went to one of the Hero Premia dealerships, which is supposed to represent the premium network handling the Harley partnership in India. But honestly, the experience didn’t feel premium. The test ride bike was parked outside the showroom and it was dirty and dusty, almost like it had been sitting there for a long time. If you’re inviting customers into a premium showroom experience, the least you can do is keep the motorcycle clean. If the company itself doesn’t seem to care about the condition of the bike, it becomes difficult for the customer to feel excited about it. The staff also didn’t provide proper documentation, pricing sheets, or a clear explanation of what exactly had changed between the previous version and the new one. And the changes actually are significant, which made the lack of clarity even more surprising. Compared to the experience you usually get at Royal Enfield dealerships, which have a very consistent and well-defined brand environment, this felt underwhelming.
